What the internal linking checks cover

Suggestions are matched by topic from the words in each page's title, heading and address. They are a starting point for you to review, not an automatic edit.

  • Link suggestions: up to three related pages to link from, and never a hidden, redirecting or broken one
  • Page links to a redirect: a link points at a URL that redirects instead of the final address
  • Page has no outgoing links: a dead-end page with nothing to click
  • Broken internal links: found in the same crawl, with the page each one is on
  • Does not edit your site: SEOSage only reads your pages; you add the links yourself

Questions about internal linking tool

What does an internal linking tool do?

It helps you link your own pages together. SEOSage finds pages that nothing links to and suggests which related pages should link to them.

Does SEOSage add the links for me?

No. It only reads your website. You get the page to edit and the anchor text to use, and you add the link yourself.

How are the suggestions chosen?

By topic. SEOSage compares the words in each page's title, heading and address, ignores very common words, and never suggests hidden, redirecting or broken pages.

Does it find broken internal links too?

Yes. Broken links and links that point to a redirect are found in the same crawl.

Is there a free version?

There is a free internal link checker that tests the links on one page. SEOSage crawls the whole site and gives the link suggestions.

Is there a limit on pages?

No. SEOSage has no page limit, so you can run it on a large site.
