A scorecard with you and your competitors side by side
SEOSage reads the public pages of each site the same way, yours included, so the comparison is fair. The best value in each row is green.
- Pages in the sitemap, words per page and server response
- Titles and descriptions of a good length, and pages with exactly one H1
- Structured data, social tags, canonical tags and images with alt text
- Internal links per page, compression and HTTPS
- A speed test for each site, mobile and desktop

What you learn about a competitor
Public pages only. SEOSage does not show a competitor's traffic or backlinks, because that needs a paid data source.
- New pages: it compares their sitemap with the last look and lists new pages, and checks again about once a week while the app is open
- Pages found by links: pages that are linked but in no sitemap are listed too
- Topics they cover that you do not: each competitor page that none of your pages covers, named by its own heading
- Plan it: turn an idea into a to-do on the Dashboard under Content to write, then mark it Written
- Export CSV and Copy report: the scorecard, ideas and new pages, ready to paste into an email
Questions about competitor analysis
What is an SEO competitor analysis tool?
It is a tool that measures your competitors' websites and compares them with yours. SEOSage compares the pages themselves: how they are built, how fast they load, what they publish and which topics they cover.
How many competitors can I track?
Up to five for each site. You can add another one while a check is running; it waits in line and runs next.
Does it show competitor traffic or backlinks?
No. SEOSage reads public pages only. Traffic and backlink numbers need a paid data source, which SEOSage does not use today.
Is it polite to the competitor's website?
Yes. It reads about three to five pages a second, follows the site's robots.txt and stops if the site starts refusing it.
How does it find new pages?
It compares the competitor's sitemap with the last time it looked, and also reads the links on their home page and blog pages. The first check only remembers what is there, so there is no false alarm.
Can I share the results?
Yes. Export a CSV, copy the report as text, or export just the content ideas.
