Fix
Fix it, then check it again
Every issue lists the pages affected, why it matters and how to fix it. After you fix a page, re-check it and SEOSage tells you the result, without crawling the whole site again.
- Re-check a page and see Fixed, Still there or Needs re-crawl
- Choose the columns you want, and search inside an issue
- Images missing alt text get their own re-check: Fixed, Still missing or Image removed
- Write a unique 140–160 character description.
- Summarise the page and add a reason to click.

Backup
Back up to your computer or your Google Drive
One click saves your sites, crawls and settings. Switch on automatic backups and SEOSage does it every day or week, and when you close the app. Restore any saved backup in one click.
- On your computer, or in a folder SEOSage makes in your Drive
- SEOSage sees only the files it saved, never the rest of your Drive

You control the crawl
SEOSage does not cap how many pages it crawls. Set the rules you want, from JavaScript rendering to crawling password-protected sites.
- No page limit by default, and set a page or depth limit only if you want one
- Render JavaScript, respect robots.txt, include subdomains
- Set crawl speed, user agent and custom headers
- Crawl password-protected or staging sites
- Stop a crawl and keep the results so far

Every check in one crawl
Eight groups of technical SEO checks, run together. Each one says why it matters.
Links and images
Broken links and images frustrate visitors and waste the time search engines spend on your site.
- Broken links, and outbound links too if you turn that on
- Links that point to a redirect, orphan pages, and pages with no links out
- Broken images, on any host, and images that are too large
- Broken JavaScript and CSS files
- Images missing alt text, with a re-check that says Fixed, Still missing or Image removed
- Images with no width and height, no modern format (WebP or AVIF) or no lazy-loading
Redirects
Long redirect chains slow pages down and can lose the link value that points to them.
- 301 and 302 redirects, chains and loops
- Redirects that end on a broken page
- Redirects that drop from HTTPS to HTTP
Canonicals and indexing
The canonical tag tells Google which version of a page to keep. Mistakes here can hide the right page.
- Missing canonical tags, and canonicals that point to a different, redirecting or broken page
- Canonicals that switch between HTTP and HTTPS
- Pages blocked from search by noindex
- Soft 404 pages that say "not found" but answer as a normal page
- AI crawlers blocked in robots.txt, and a missing llms.txt file
Page basics
Titles, descriptions and headings are what people see in search results and what Google reads first.
- Titles and meta descriptions that are missing, too long, too short or repeated
- Missing H1 headings, and multiple H1, title or meta description tags
- Thin and duplicate content, structured data, and Open Graph and Twitter card tags
- Skipped heading levels, and structured data with errors or missing fields
Languages
hreflang tags tell Google which language or country each page is for. Small mistakes make them ignored.
- Invalid hreflang codes, and hreflang that points to a broken page or a redirect
- Missing return tags, missing self-reference and missing x-default
Sitemaps
Your sitemap is a list of pages you want found. It should match what is really on your site.
- Pages that are missing from your sitemap
- Sitemap entries that are broken, redirected, noindex or non-canonical
- Sitemap pages the crawl could not reach
- Your robots.txt and declared sitemaps, audited in one place
Security
Mixed content loads insecure files on a secure page, and browsers can block or warn about it.
- Mixed content on HTTPS pages
Speed
Slow pages lose visitors, and speed is part of how Google judges page experience.
- Slow server response times
- Core Web Vitals lab test on mobile and desktop, with a score, fixes and history
- Fast crawling that avoids getting blocked
- Real-visitor speed data from Google for the last 28 days

Questions about the checks
What does an SEO audit check?
A technical SEO audit looks for problems that hold a website back in search: broken links and images, redirect chains, missing or wrong canonical tags, missing titles and descriptions, hreflang mistakes, sitemap errors and mixed content.
Does SEOSage check Core Web Vitals?
Yes. It runs a lab test on mobile and desktop and gives a 0 to 100 score, LCP, CLS, load time and plain-English fixes. Mobile scores are estimated, or you can add a free Google key to use Google's own.
Can it check hreflang tags?
Yes. It finds invalid language codes, hreflang that points to a broken or redirected page, missing return tags, missing self-references and missing x-default.
Can I check a fix without crawling the whole site again?
Yes. Re-check a page or issue and SEOSage shows Fixed, Still there or Needs re-crawl.
Can I export the results?
Yes. Copy a report as Markdown, export a CSV, print a PDF, or export a PowerPoint deck with your own colour and logo.
