Alternatives / Screaming Frog
Looking for an alternative to Screaming Frog? SEOSage crawls your whole site from your own computer, like Screaming Frog, but opens on a clear list of what to fix first. Here is how the two compare, including where Screaming Frog is ahead.

Powerful, but a dense screen of tabs, tables and settings made for experts (our view)
$279 a year
Checked on 4 October 2026 against Screaming Frog’s own pricing and features pages. Prices change, so check theirs before you buy.
SEOSage is not a copy of Screaming Frog. It does not run on Linux, has no free version beyond the 14-day trial, and its accessibility and spelling checks are simpler. The table below shows every difference.
No difference here, so we do not make you read a table for it.

“Not listed” means we could not find it on their features page.
It is if you want a simpler screen, client-ready reports with your own logo, and a lower price. Both crawl your whole site from your own computer. Screaming Frog is ahead on Linux support, a free version, full accessibility audits, grammar checks in many languages and XPath.
Screaming Frog has its own free version, limited to 500 URLs. SEOSage is not free, but you can try every feature for 14 days.
SEOSage costs $19 a month or $149 a year. Screaming Frog costs $279 a year, checked on its pricing page on 4 October 2026.
No. There is no page limit and no limit on the number of websites. Very large sites take longer and use more memory on your computer.
No. SEOSage does not run on Linux, has no grammar check, has only basic accessibility checks and does not read XPath. It adds branded reports, a weekly to-do list and a Claude connector.
SEOSage itself only audits your site. But Claude can start an audit through the SEOSage connector and read each issue with how to fix it. If you also give Claude access to your site, for example in Claude Code, it can make the fixes for you.
We think SEOSage is easier: it opens on a dashboard of what to fix first and explains each issue in plain English. Screaming Frog shows many tabs and tables and takes longer to learn. That is our opinion, so try both on one of your sites.
